Chief Warrant Officer Robert Girouard

Killed by a suicide bomber while riding in a Bison armoured vehicle.
Chief Warrant Officer Girouard was the Regimental Sergeant Major of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment Battle Group. He was not only the senior chief warrant officer but also the one with the heaviest responsibilities for leadership, cohesion and morale among the battalion's soldiers. His loss is a terrible one for the whole Battalion. God Bless him and his family.
